AINO and REINO -RUNNING 2008 PYTERLAHTI
 
Aino-slippers and Reino-slippers are traditional Finnish shoes. In the Aino- and Reino-competition you can run, walk or do Nordic walking with Aino- or Reino-slippers on you. The distance is 1440,4 meters from milk cottage of Pasikonpohja to milk cottage of Opistonmäki.

Regulations of Aino- and Reino-running competition
 
  1. HUMOUR
    We hope that all competitors and audience have humour because Aino- and Reino-running competition is not a serious competition.
    RUNNING SHOES
  2. You have to wear Aino- or Reino-slippers all the time during the competition.
 
  3. You can have only two socks. The other one can be wool sock.
 
  4. Attuning and tuning of slippers is forbidden. The official controller of slippers will check the slippers.
  5. You are not allowed to put anything extra inside of your slippers.
  6. Slippers that are size 35 or under, in other word, the juniors run in the area of Opistonmäki. Organiser of the competition can allow a chance to go in the series of adults when runner is capable and willing to run 1,5 km. The permission from parent and carer is demanded.

Running happens properly by the side of road.

  7. Nordic walkers have same regulations as runners.
 
  8. Series in the competition are both Aino- and Reino-slippers: juniors, 36 - 39, 40 - 43, 44 - and Nordic walkers.
 
  9. Nordic walkers don't have to have real stick of Nordic walking.
  10. SAFETY
  Remember to move in the road and in the tractor properly obeying the instruction of organiser.
  ABOVE ALL: LET'S HAVE SOME FUN AND SMILE - IT ISN'T THAT SERIOUS!
